A nutritional evaluation of the berry of a new grape: 'Karaerik' (Vitis vinifera L.)
(2018)Grape berries are a good source of nutrients and nutraceuticals and have many benefits for human health. Growing interest in the export potential and consumption of a new grape (cv. Karaerik), cultivated as a table grape ... -
Inhibitory effects of some drugs on carbonic anhydrase enzyme purified from Kangal Akkaraman sheep in Sivas, Turkey
(2018)In this study, carbonic anhydrase (CA) enzyme was purified and characterized from blood samples of Kangal Akkaraman sheep and inhibitory properties on certain antibiotics were examined. CA purification was composed of ... -
The correlation between the differences in NUCB2/Nesfatin(NES) peptide levels and body weight, lenght and gender in alburnus tarichi
(2018)Nucleobindin-2 (NUCB2) is a 396-amino-acid peptide related to food intake and body weight. It suppresses appetite by acting on the hypothalamus, andits derived peptide, nesfatin-1, was shown to reduce food intake and body ... -
The antioxidant status and biochemical parameters in kid goats naturally infected with Peste des Petits Ruminants virus
(2018)Background: Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is an acute and highly contagious viral disease of small ruminants. The disease is high economical importance because of the high mortality rate. Oxidative stress is an active ... -
Prediction of body weight of Turkish tazi dogs using data mining Techniques: Classification and Regression Tree (CART) and multivariate adaptive regression splines (MARS)
(2018)Body weight of dogs is crucial trait for breeding, racing and housekeeping. However, variables and factors that correctly estimate this trait are lacking. Here, we applied classification and regression tree (CART) and ... -
Analyses of turbidity and acoustic backscatter signal with artificial neural network for estimation of suspended sediment concentration
(2018)The commonly used sampling method is restrictive for the spatial and temporal measurement of suspended sediment and requires intensive labor. These limitations and technological advances have led to methods based on sound ... -
The toxicological effects of some avermectins on goat liver carbonic anhydrase enzyme
(2018)Avermectins are used worldwide as antiparasitic drugs in the field of veterinary medicine and as agricultural pesticides and insecticides. Carbonic anhydrase (CA, E.C. 4.2.1.1) is a zinc-containing metalloenzyme that ... -
Power quality event detection using a fast extreme learning machine
(2018)Monitoring Power Quality Events (PQE) is a crucial task for sustainable and resilient smart grid. This paper proposes a fast and accurate algorithm for monitoring PQEs from a pattern recognition perspective. The proposed ... -
Cross section predictions of the Z boson in association with jets at 14 TeV center-of-mass energy in proton proton collisions
(2018)QCD predictions of the Z (Z→ l+l-) boson in association with jets (up to 2 jets) in proton-proton collisions are presented in this study The results are predicted at LO and NLO accuracy using two most recent parton ... -
Inclusive W boson QCD predictions and lepton charge asymmetry in proton-proton collisions at √s= 14 TeV
(2018)Inclusive W () boson QCD predictions and lepton charge asymmetry in proton-proton collisions at = 14 TeV is performed in this study. Total and fiducial cross section predictions are obtained up to next to next to leading ... -
Micro milling of tungsten-copper composite materials produced through powder metallurgy method: Effect of composition and sintering temperature [Toz metalurjisi yöntemiyle üretilen tungsten-bakır kompozit malzemelerin mikro frezelenmesi: Kompozisyon ve sinterleme sıcaklığının etkisi]
(2018)Each passing day, materials are produced with different compositions by the method of powder metallurgy. The machinability of the produced materials is as important as the mechanical and chemical properties. In aforesaid ... -
Classification of different Sorghum bicolor genotypes depending on fatty acid composition with using Biplot Analysis
(2018)Seed fatty acid composition and oil content of 61 sorghum genotypes were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) system and genotypes were classified with Biplot analysis. The fatty acid composition of studied plants showed ... -
A phenomenological calculation for W+W− diboson production for the large hadron collider and future circular collider
(2018)The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN has been designed to collide beams of protons at 7, 8, 13, and 14 TeV center-of-mass energies and a new hadron collider called the Future Circular Collider (FCC), which is larger and ... -
Conformal slant submersions from cosymplectic manifolds
(2018)Akyol [Conformal anti-invariant submersions from cosymplectic manifolds, Hacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics 2017; 462: 177-192] defined and studied conformal antiinvariant submersions from cosymplectic manifolds. ... -
Conformal anti-invariant riemannian maps to KÄhler manifolds
(2018)We introduce conformal anti-invariant Riemannian maps from Riemannian manifolds to almost Hermitian manifolds and show that they include both anti-invariant submanifolds and anti-invariant Riemannian maps. We give non-trivial ... -
Forward-backward asymmetry of Drell-Yan lepton pairs at 14 TeV center-of-mass energy
(2018)In this paper, fiducial cross-sections of lepton pairs with opposite charge via Z → l+l- (l± = μ± ; e±) are calculated at a center-of-mass energy of 14 TeV by applying different transverse momentum selections to evaluate ... -
Pythagorean triples containing generalized lucas numbers
(2018)Let P and Q be nonzero integers. Generalized Fibonacci and Lucas sequences are defined as follows: U0(P,Q) = 0;U1(P,Q) = 1, and Un+1(P,Q) = PUn(P,Q)+QUn-1(P,Q) for n ≥ 1 and V0(P,Q) = 2, V1(P,Q) = P, and Vn+1(P,Q) = PVn(P,Q) ... -
New theorems for Hyers-Ulam stability of lienard equation with variable time lags
