(2017)Pure polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) capped ZnS semiconductor nanocrystals were prepared by microwave-assisted method, and the optical and structural properties of the as-prepared materials were characterized by x-ray diffraction ... -
Heteroleptic neutral Ru(II) complexes based photodiodes
(2017)The two complexes Ru(II) containing 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine and 2-pyridine and 2-quinoline carboxylates were synthesized to fabricate organic photodiodes. The electrical properties of Au/Ru(II) complex (I)/n−Si/Al ... -
Hilbert transform based simple detection and indice analyze of voltage sags using synthetic data
(2017)Electrical grid has lots of changes in its morphology and managing style since first installed nearly two hundred years ago. Today, smart grid structure plays a crucial role when creating a sustainable and reliable operation. ... -
A new method for segmentation of microscopic blood cell images by using histogram based automatic thresholding
(2017)In this study, a novel thresholding algorithm based on histogram shape (TAHS) is proposed for determining the multiple thresholding. In the proposed thresholding method, histogram is divided into smaller windows with same ... -
Sound absorbing properties of roller blind curtain fabrics
(2017)Roller blind fabrics are preferred and commonly used in home and office. In general, these fabrics are produced by coating the acrylic blended material, which is known by their ultraviolet properties, onto polyester woven ... -

(2017)This study was conducted in Diyarbakır Province in 2013–2014. Specimens of predatory diving beetles belonging to the family Dytiscidae Leach, 1815 were collected from various aquatic habitats. In total, 2115 specimens were ... -
Oleylamine-Stabilized Copper(0) Nanoparticles: An Efficient and Low-Cost Catalyst for the Dehydrogenation of Dimethylamine Borane
(2017)Copper(0) nanoparticles, in situ generated from the reduction of copper(II) 2-ethylhexanoate during the dehydrogenation of dimethylamine borane (DMAB) at 50.0±0.1 °C in toluene solution, are active catalysts in hydrogen ... -
α-Amylase from bacillus simplex- production, characterization & partial purification
(2017)In this study, some bacteria were isolated from the soil obtained from Ergani Makam Mountain. The isolated bacteria were defined as Bacillus simplex with the biochemical tests and 16S rRNA analysis. The optimum conditions ... -
Taxonomic revision of the genus trigonosciadium (Apiaceae) in Turkey
(2017)A revision of the species of Trigonosciadium occurring in Turkey is presented. Four species are recognised, of which T. tuberosum is rediscovered in Turkey after 1887 and T. lasiocarpum is accepted as the correct name for ... -
Determination of the Suitability of Some American grapevine rootstocks as a new edible landscape component of vertical gardens
(2017)In this study, grapevine was used as the research material. This plant which epitomizes the opinion that vertical gardens can have a positive influence on human psychology with their beautiful view, e.g., the hanging gardens ... -
Effects of a Propolis Extract on the Viability of and Levels of Cytoskeletal and Regulatory Proteins in Rat Brain Astrocytes: an In Vitro Study
(2017)A potential for the use of propolis in preventive and therapeutic purposes has been acknowledged, but little attention has been paid to estimation of possible propolis cytotoxicity with respect to astrocytes. We tried to ... -
An experimental study of different curing regimes on the mechanical properties and sorptivity of self-compacting mortars with fly ash and silica fume
(2017)This paper aims to investigate the effect of four different curing regimes namely; tap water curing (WC), wet sack curing (WSC), air curing (AC), and liquid paraffin wax curing (LPWC) and different curing times (3, 7, 28, ... -
Computational investigation of combustion and emission characteristics of toluene reference fuel (TRF) mixtures in an HCCI engine using stochastic reactor model
