Ethnobotanical study on medicinal plants in villages of Çatak (Van-Turkey)
(2015)Ethnopharmacological relevance This paper provides significant ethnobotanical information on medicinal plants in the villages of Çatak in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Recording such data calls for urgency. This is the first ... -
Evaluation of arsenic trioxide genotoxicity in wheat seedlings using oxidative system and RAPD assays
(2015)Arsenic is a metalloid that is toxic to living organisms. It is known that high concentration of arsenic causes toxic damage to cells and tissues of plants. While the toxic effect of arsenic is known, limited efforts have ... -
Health attributes of an endemic orchid from Eastern Anatolia, Dactylorhiza chuhensis Renz&Taub. - In vitro investigations
(2015)Abstract Phytochemical composition and potential health attributes of Dactylorhiza chuhensis Renz&Taub., an endemic orchid from Eastern Anatolia, were investigated. Lyophilized methanol-based extracts obtained from ... -
Memristive behavior in a junctionless flash memory cell
(2015)We report charge storage based memristive operation of a junctionless thin film flash memory cell when it is operated as a two terminal device by grounding the gate. Unlike memristors based on nanoionics, the presented ... -
Teachers’ opinions on the effectiveness of life science curriculum in values education
(2015)This research aims to investigate the opinions of classroom teachers on the significance level of values in Life Sciences Course Curriculum (LSCC) and the effect level of LSSC in acquisition of these values. Survey model ... -
Capacitance-conductance-current-voltage characteristics of atomic layer deposited Au/Ti/Al2O3/n-GaAs MIS structures
(2015)We have studied the admittance and current-voltage characteristics of the Au/Ti/Al2O3/n-GaAs structure. The Al2O3 layer of about 5 nm was formed on the n-GaAs by atomic layer deposition. The barrier height (BH) and ideality ... -
Examining the decision-making levels of glider pilot trainers and glider pilot candidates in terms of socio-demographic variables
(2015)The purpose of the present research is to examine the decision-making levels of glider pilot trainers and glider pilot candidates who serve in the field of Aeronautics in terms of certain socio-demographic variables. The ... -
Studies on effective atomic numbers, electron densities from mass attenuation coefficients near the K edge in some samarium compounds
(2015)The effective atomic numbers and electron densities of some samarium compounds were determined using the experimental total mass attenuation coefficient values near the K edge in the X-ray energy range from 36.847 up to ... -
A compendium of expression patterns of cholesterol biosynthetic enzymes in the mouse embryo
(2015)Cholesterol and its biosynthetic pathway intermediates and derivatives are required for many developmental processes including membrane biogenesis, transmembrane receptor signaling, steroid biogenesis, nuclear receptor ... -
The effects of silica modulus and aging on compressive strength of pumice-based geopolymer composites
(2015)The environmental impact of Portland cement is significant. In the procedure of cement production, production of one ton cement releases about one ton CO2 in environment. To enhance material greenness and produce alternative ... -
Faymonville turkish village and carnival in belgium [Belçika’daki faymonville türk köyü ve karnavali]
(2015)Faymonville which is located in the Wallon region in Belgium is a village that is known as the “Turkish village” by the Turks. The naming of “Turkish village” of Faymonville is based on three regional myths and a carnival ... -
Changes in the anti-oxidant system in adult epilepsy patients receiving anti-epileptic drugs
(2015)Anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs) have been widely used in patients with epilepsy. This study evaluated the adverse effects of two commonly prescribed AED monotherapies, carbamazepine (CBZ) and valproic acid (VPA). The aim of ... -
The electrical characterizations and illumination response of Co/N-type GaP junction device
(2015)Abstract The manuscript describes characterization of a Co/n-GaP junction device. The current-voltage-temperature (I-V-T), capacitance-frequency-temperature (C-f-T) measurements of the device were analyzed in the temperature ... -
Effects of sewage sludge used as fertilizer on the yield and chemical contents of common vetch (vicia sativa L.) and soil
(2015)This study was conducted to determine the effects of sewage sludge (SS) used as fertilizer at different concentrations [Control, 20 kg ha–1 nitrogen (N), 30 ton ha–1 SS (S1), 60 ton ha–1 SS (S2) and 90 ton ha–1 SS (S3), ... -
The effect of aging treatment on the fracture toughness and impact strength of injection molded Ni-625 superalloy parts
(2015)In this study, the effect of aging heat treatment on fracture toughness and impact strength of Ni-625 superalloy fabricated by using powder injection molding (PIM) method was examined. After a feedstock was prepared by ... -
Monodisperse nickel nanoparticles in the solvent-free dehydrogenation of dimethylamine borane
(2015)Monodisperse 1.9 nm Ni nanoparticles (NPs) were in-situ synthesized by simple mechanical stirring of solvent-free mixtures of a nickel(II) chloride and dimethylamine borane (DMAB) under inert gas atmosphere at 25.0 ± 0.1 ... -
Aristolochia altanii (Aristolochiaceae), a new species from Turkey
(2015)Aristolochia altanii İlçim & Behçet sp. nov. is described from Turkey and illustrated. The specimens were collected from Kahramanmaraş in South Anatolia. The new species is closely related to A. guichardii and A. brevilabris. ... -
Capacitance-conductance characteristics of Au/Ti/Al2O3/n-GaAs structures with very thin Al2O3 interfacial layer
(2015)High-k Al2O3 with metallic oxide thickness of about 3 nmon n-type GaAs substrate has been deposited by the atomic layer deposition (ALD) technique. Thus, it has been formed the Au-Ti/Al2O3/n-GaAs MIS structures. It has ... -
