Temporal variation of soil moisture under alley cropping system in pistachio in semi-arid region of Turkey
(2010)Alley cropping is practiced to produce grain and forage crops, reduce soil and nutrient losses by surface runoff and improve nutrient availability. Growing barley and legumes for grain and forage in pistachio, olive and ... -
A study about Biacetabulum appendiculatum szidat, 1937 (cestoda: Caryophllaeidea) on barbus plebejus escherichi steindachner, 1864
(2010)In this research, the parasitic infections of some fish species were studied and identified. During the study, six fish species have been recorded in Enne Dam Lake, namely; Alburnus alburnus (bleak), Carassius carassius ... -
Tannin, protein contents and fatty acid compositions of the seeds of several Vicia L. species from Turkey
(2010)The seedoils of six Vicia species (Leguminosae) were investigated for their protein, tannin contents and fatty acid compositions. The protein contents of the seeds were found to be between 21.87%-31.33%. The tannin contents ... -
Sex-related growth performance of bleak (Alburnus alburnus)
(2010)This study is focused on bleak (Alburnus alburnus L.) grown naturally in the Enne Dam located within the borders of Kütahya province, in Turkey. In the study the lengths of bleak were measured at 25 different times according ... -
Selection and determination of some significant properties of superior walnut genotypes
(2010)This study was conducted to determine some significant characteristics and select superior walnut genotypes within seedling population of Mardin central district and Diyarbakir central districts and their villages during ... -
Preparation, characterization and application of alkaline leached CuNiZn ternary coatings for long-term electrolysis in alkaline solution
(2010)The NiCuZn ternary coating was electrochemically deposited on a copper electrode. Then, it was etched in a concentrated alkaline solution (30% NaOH) to produce a porous and electrocatalytic surface suitable for use in the ... -
Investigation of the inhibition effect of 5-((E)-4-phenylbuta-1,3-dienylideneamino)-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol Schiff base on mild steel corrosion in hydrochloric acid
(2010)The inhibition effect of 5-((E)-4-phenylbuta-1,3-dienylideneamino)-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol (PDTT) Schiff base on mild steel corrosion in 0.5. M HCl was studied for both short and long immersion time. For this purpose, ... -
The effect of planting methods on yield and yield components of irrigated spring durum wheat varieties
(2010)A field experiment was carried out during three consecutive years: 2004 - 2005, 2005 - 2006 and 2006 - 2007 in South-eastern Anatolian, Turkey. The objective of the study was to compare planting methods and varieties of ... -
Selection of walnut types with high fruit bearing and quality in Sanliurfa population
(2010)This study was conducted to determine walnut types with high fruit bearing and fruit quality within seedling population in Siverek and Hilvan districts of Sanliurfa province and their villages in Turkey during years 2005 ... -
Barrier height temperature coefficient in ideal Ti/n-GaAs Schottky contacts
(2010)We have measured the I-V characteristics of Ti/n-GaAs Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs) in the temperature range of 60-320 K by the steps of 20 K. The SBDs have been prepared by magnetron DC sputtering. The ideality factor n ... -
Evaluation of grain yield and quality of barley varieties under rainfed conditions
(2010)This study was carried out in 2002 to 2003 and 2003 to 2004 seasons at the experimental area of Elazi{dotless}ǧǧ Agriculture Provincial Directorate in Turkey to investigate the genetic and environmental variation of grain ... -
The theoretical and experimental study on double-Gaussian distribution in inhomogeneous barrier-height Schottky contacts
(2010)We have considered multi-Gaussian distribution of barrier-heights for non-interactive barrier inhomogeneities in the inhomogeneous Schottky diodes, and we have shown the presence of the intersecting behavior in the ... -
Analysing space charge-limited conduction in Au/n-InP Schottky diodes
(2010)The theory of space charge limited currents (SCLC) was investigated at the range of 160300 K temperatures. Currentvoltage measurements show that the current flow is space charge limited and influenced by traps. At low ... -
Turbidity measurements and modified imhoff cone method for estimation of suspended sediment concentration
(2010)The requirement for monitoring of suspended sediment concentrations (SSCs) with good temporal and spatial resolution has led to the development of methods for sediment measurements. In this study, two practical and relatively ... -
The effect of different nitrogen and irrigation levels on fatty acid composition of peanut oils
(2010)This study was carried out to determine the effect of nitrogen doses and irrigation levels on fatty acid composition of peanut oils grown in Southeast Anatolia Region. Nitrogen and irrigation levels affected all parameters ... -
