Abstract
SEM görüntüleri UPD bölgesinde elektrokimyasal olarak hazırlanan Cu2O’in mükemmel tek tip nanoküp şeklinde yapılarla elde edilebileceğini gösterdi.Cu2O nanoyapılarının kalitatif ve kantitatif analizleri, yapıda sadece Cu ve O bulunduğunu ve stokiyometrinin 2/1 (Cu/O) oranına sahip olduğunu gösterdi. FT-IR spektroskopi sonuçları, Cu2O nanoküplerinin tek faza sahip bir kristalin doğası ile elde edilebileceğini doğrulamıştır. PL spektroskopi sonucunda elde edilen keskin band, Cu2O emisyonundan kaynaklanır ve kristal yapıda Cu2O oluşumunu doğrular. Elektrokimyasal olarak hazırlanan bakır (I) oksit yapılarına ait bant aralığı enerjisi 2,09 eV’tur.

ABSTRACT: In this thesis, compound semiconductor Cu2O nanostructures were prepared by the electrochemical deposition method based on surface-limited reactions. Cu2O nanostructures prepared in UPD region were compared with Cu2O deposits prepared in bulk (Nernst) deposition region under the same conditions. In contrast to 3D growth kinetics in bulk deposition region, there are 2D growth kinetics in UPD region. Electrochemical preparation of Cu2O semiconductor in all basic pH was attempted. In these pH values, it was tried to determine the most ideal pH value to electrochemically prepare of Cu2O semiconductor. Changes in the size of nanostructures as a function of pH of the electrodeposition solution were investigated. When pH values of the solutions were increased, the sizes of Cu2O nanostructures prepared by electrochemical deposition were decreased. SEM images showed that Cu2O prepared by electrochemically in UPD region can be obtained with structures shaped like perfect single type nanocube. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of Cu2O nanostructures indicated that the structure have only Cu and O and stoichiometry have 2/1 (Cu/O) ratio. FT-IR spectroscopy results confirmed that Cu2O nanocubes can be obtained with the single phase crystalline nature. The sharp band obtained by PL spectroscopy is due to Cu2O emission and confirms the formation of crystalline Cu2O. The band gap energy of the structures of copper (I) oxide prepared electrochemically is 2.09 eV. In this study, Cu2O semiconductor prepared electrochemically may be recommended to be used as an ideal absorber layer in the solar cells.
