(2012)This study aims to investigate the possible role of flies in the transmission of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli from/to chickens. For that, 450 chicken faeces and 60 fly pools (2 pools by flock) were obtained ... -
Fabrication and electrical characteristics of Perylene-3,4,9,10- tetracarboxylic dianhydride/p-GaAs diode structure
(2012)This study aims to experimentally investigate whether Perylene-3,4,9,10- tetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA) organic layer at p-GaAs/Ag interface affects electrical transport across this interface or not. The electronic ... -
Segmentation of color texture images with artificial bee colony algorithm and wavelet transform [Dalgacik dönüşümü ve yapay ari koloni̇ algori̇tmasi i̇le renkli̇ doku görüntüleri̇ ni̇n bölütlenmesi̇]
(2012)Segmentation is an important application in the analysis of gray level and color images numerically. The task of image segmentation is to separate a given image into different regions having homogenous properties. Although ... -
Synthesis of highly N-substituted indole library via conjugate additions of indoline and their synthetic tool potentials
(2012)A comprehensive library of N- or 1-substituted indoles was formed by conjugate additions of indoline with Michael acceptors followed by an oxidation step. Using N-substituted indoles as key Michael donors, the synthesis ... -
Insecticide imidacloprid induces morphological and DNA damage through oxidative toxicity on the reproductive organs of developing male rats
(2012)We investigated whether treatment with imidacloprid would induce morphological changes, DNA fragmentation, antioxidant imbalance and apoptosis in the reproductive system of developing male rats. Twenty-four male rats were ... -
