Antiproliferative activities of isolated flavone glycosides and fatty acids from Stachys byzantina
(2013)From the aerial parts of Stachys byzanthina C. Koch., a new flavone glycoside, was isolated for the first time in addition to known two flavone glycosides. Structures were established by conventional methods of analysis ... -
An approach for the integration of renewable distributed generation in hybrid DC/AC microgrids
(2013)This paper presents an investigation of a hybrid DC/AC integration paradigm to establish microgrids (MGs) by using a conventional three-phase local power delivery system. This approach adds an additional DC power line to ... -
B-N polymer embedded iron(0) nanoparticles as highly active and long lived catalyst in the dehydrogenation of ammonia borane
(2013)B-N polymer embedded iron(0) nanoparticles (NPs) were in-situ generated from the reduction of iron(III) acetylacetonate during the dehydrogenation of ammonia borane (AB) in THF solution at 40.0±0.5 °C. The iron(0) NPs could ... -
Investigation of virulence and Cytolethal distending toxin genes in campylobacter SPP. Isolated from Sheep in Turkey
(2013)The presence of virulence and cytolethal distending toxin (Cdt) genes was investigated in isolates of Campylobacter jejuni, C. coli, C. lanienae, and C. lari that originated from intestinal contents and gallbladders of ... -
The first isolation of Campylobacter lanienae from chickens
(2013)The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of Campylobacter jejuni, C. coli, C. lari and C. lanienae which are the most common causes of acute bacterial gastroenteritis in humans, in clinically healthy ... -
Effects of la dopant on nanocluster size and optical band gap of CdO films prepared by sol-gel method
(2013)The undoped and lanthanum doped cadmium oxide thin films were prepared by sol-gel method. The CdO films were doped with various percentages of ffia, 0.1, 0.5, 1, and 2 at.%. We have investigated the structural properties ... -
Renewable energy integration for smart sites
(2013)Use of distributed renewable energy sources for domestic energy consumption will increase in the near future, due to its advantages as being clean and infinite energy generation possibility. This trend allows more efficient ... -
The molecular and morphometrical description of a new diplozoid species from the gills of the Garra rufa (Heckel, 1843) (Cyprinidae) from Turkey - Including a commentary on taxonomic division of Diplozoidae
(2013)The paper presents a description of Paradiplozoon bingolensis sp. n. from the gills of Garra rufa Heckel, 1843 (Cyprinidae) collected from the Göynük Stream, a tributary of the Murat River, Turkey. This is the first diplozoid ... -
Oleylamine-stabilized ruthenium(0) nanoparticles catalyst in dehydrogenation of dimethylamine-borane
(2013)Oleylamine-stabilized ruthenium(0) nanoparticles were in situ generated from the reduction of ruthenium(III) chloride by dimethylamine-borane during its dehydrogenation at room temperature. Nearly monodispersed ruthenium(0) ... -
Nitric oxide alleviates boron toxicity by reducing oxidative damage and growth inhibition in maize seedlings (Zea mays L.)
(2013)Nitric Oxide (NO) is an important signal molecule modulating the plants responses to abiotic stresses. In this study the effects of exogenous NO as sodium nitroprusside (SNP) on boron (B)-induced oxidative damage and growth ... -
Essential oil compounds of three Nepeta L. Taxa from Turkey and their chemotaxonomy
(2013)The essential oil aerial parts of Nepeta baytopii Hedge and Lamond., Nepeta cataria L. and Nepeta fissa C.A. Mey. were investigated by GC and GC-MS. The yield of oils are ca. 0.40, 0.45 and 0.50 mL/100 g, respectively. ... -
Chemical composition of endemic inula macrocephala boiss. And Kotschy ex boiss. From Turkey
(2013)The essential oil components of aerial parts of Inula macrocephala Boiss. and Kotschy ex Boiss. was investigated by GC and GC-MS. The yield of oil is ca. 0.13 mL/100 g. Thirty five components were identified representing ... -
Effects of the neonicotinoid insecticide, clothianidin, on the reproductive organ system in adult male rats
(2013)Clothianidin (CTD) is a novel, broad-spectrum insecticide. In the current study, it was aimed to study the effect of subchronic exposure to low doses of CTD (2, 8 and 24mg/kg body weight/day) on the reproductive system in ... -
Improvement of efficiency in CdS quantum dots sensitized solar cells
(2013)CdS quantum dots were coated on TiO2 layer by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction method. An efficient photovoltaic energy conversion and significant quantum-size effect were observed. The magnitude of the ... -
