(2014)A novel and simple method for preparation of a tentacle-type polymer stationary phase grafted with polyethyleneimine (PEI) anion exchanger was developed for open tubular capillary electrochromatography (OT-CEC) of nucleosides ... -
Designing an intracellular fluorescent probe for glutathione: Two modulation sites for selective signal transduction
(2014)A selective probe for glutathione was designed and synthesized. The design incorporates spatial and photophysical constraints for the maximal emission signal. Thus, pHs, as well as the intracellular thiol concentrations, ... -
Electrochemical preparation, characterization, and application of a novel cathode material, mild Steel/Ni/NiZn-Pt, for alkaline water electrolysis
(2014)In this study, a mild steel (MS)/Ni/NiZn-Pt electrode was prepared and characterized in view of its possible application as cathode material for the alkaline water electrolysis in alkaline solution. For this purpose, cyclic ... -
Ethnobotanical study on medicinal plants in Geçitli and its surrounding (Hakkari-Turkey)
(2014)Ethnopharmacological relevance This paper provides significant ethnobotanical information on medicinal plants in the Geçitli Township in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Recording such data calls for urgency this is the first ... -
Determination of optical constants of nanocluster CdO thin films deposited by sol-gel technique
(2014)The optical properties of the CdO and Pt doped CdO thin films synthesized by sol-gel technique were investigated. The lowest grain size value (81.34 nm) was found to be for CdO thin film. The Pt doped CdO films are transformed ... -
Effects of lamotrigine and topiramate on brain maturation and cognitive functions in offspring of pregnant rats - Preliminary study
(2014)Background. Antiepileptic drugs (AED) which are used to treat seizures in pregnant women, infants, and young children may cause cognitive impairment or other uncertain injury. However, the precise mechanisms responsible ... -
CdS quantum dots and dye co-sensitized nanorods TiO2 solar cell
(2014)Co-sensitized solar cell was fabricated using CdS quantum dots with LiI based liquid electrolyte. The CdS quantum dots were deposited on TiO2 films by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method. The ... -
Study of optical and electrical assessments of the quaternary MgZnSnO system containing different Mg content
(2014)Magnesium zinc tin oxide (MZTO) quaternary systems were prepared using solution-processed method. Assessment of the Mg dopant content of the MZTO quaternary system was done to obtain a better performance of the films in ... -
VCG diversity and virulence of Verticillium dahliae from commercially available cotton seed lots in Turkey
(2014)Samples of seeds collected from commercially available cotton seed lots in Turkey were assayed for Verticillium dahliae. V. dahliae was successfully isolated from 67 of 104 seed lots tested, a successful isolation rate of ... -
Illumination impact on the electrical characterizations of an Al/Azure A/p-Si heterojunction
(2014)In this study, we fabricated an Al/Azure A/p-Si heterojunction. The electrical characterization and photovoltaic properties of the Al/Azure A/p-Si heterojunction were investigated by current-voltage (I-V) under dark and ... -
Ferroelectric Bi3.25La0.75Ti3O12 photodiode for solar cell applications
(2015)Bi3.25La0.75Ti3O12 thin film was prepared on p-type silicon substrate by sol-gel spin coating method. The film indicates a ferroelectric behavior with a remanent polarization of ~18.2 μC/cm2. Electronic parameters such as ... -
Rectifying structure with high voltage operation based on CuBO2 as an UV photocatalyst
(2014)CuBO2/p-Si diode is a new rectifying structure with photosensing, which is a candidate for producing high voltage protection circuit in electronic application. It has been seen that the photocurrent in the reverse bias I-V ... -
Apoptotic effects and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase responses in liver and gill tissues of rainbow trout treated with chlorpyrifos
(2014)We investigated apoptotic effects and changes in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) enzyme activity in liver and gill tissues of fish exposed to chlorpyrifos. Three different chlorpyrifos doses (2.25, 4.5 and 6.75. ... -
Temperature-dependent current-voltage characteristics in thermally annealed ferromagnetic Co/n-GaN Schottky contacts
(2014)Co/n-GaN SDs has been prepared by magnetron DC sputtering technique. The Co/n-GaN SDs have annealed at 600 °C after a post-deposition. The diode parameters such as the ideality factor, barrier height and Richardson constant ... -
