Investigating the Wear Behaviours of New Type Curvilinear Gears
(2015)In this study, the wear behaviors of curvilinear involute-profile gears, which were intended to be used in the industry and manufactured successfully, have been identified. For this purpose, the gears have been manufactured ... -
The Wavefunctions and Energy Eigenvalues of the Schrodinger Equation for Different Potentials Due to the Virial Theorem
(2015)The derivation of the virial theorem is presented both in classical and quantum mechanical approach. The kinetic energy and potential energy of the mechanical energy is converted to each other due to the virial theorem. ... -
Effects of olive leaf extract (oleuropein) on performance, fatty acid levels of breast muscle and some blood parameters in Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix Japonica) reared in different stocking densities
(2016)This study was performed to determine the effects of olive leaf extract (oleuropein) on performance, fatty acid levels of breast muscle and some blood parameters in quails reared in different stocking densities. In the ... -
Effects of Beak Trimming, Stocking Density and Sex on Carcass Yield, Carcass Components, Plasma Glucose and Triglyceride Levels in Large White Turkeys
(2015)This study was conducted to determine the effects of beak trimming, stocking density (D) and sex (S) on live weight (LW), carcass yield and its component, and plasma glucose (PG) and triglyceride levels in Large White ... -
Comparison of growth performance and carcass traits of Japanese quails reared in conventional, pasture, and organic conditions
(2016)This study was conducted to compare live weight, feed intake, feed conversion, mortality rate, and some carcass characteristics of Japanese quails reared under organic and conventional conditions. A total of 180 one-day-old ... -
Capacitance-conductance-current-voltage characteristics of atomic layer deposited Au/Ti/Al2O3/n-GaAs MIS structures
(2015)We have studied the admittance and current-voltage characteristics of the Au/Ti/Al2O3/n-GaAs structure. The Al2O3 layer of about 5 nm was formed on the n-GaAs by atomic layer deposition. The barrier height (BH) and ideality ... -
Comparison of fattening performance, carcass characteristics, and egg quality characteristics of Japanese quails with different feather colors
(2015)The objective of this study was to compare fattening performance, carcass traits, and egg quality of Japanese quails with different feather colors (white, dark brown, golden, and wild-type). In the study, 360 one-day-old ... -
The effects of sulfur, cattle, and poultry manure addition on soil phosphorus
(2016)Use of organic manures for soil amendment has gained renewed attention with growing concerns about sustaining soil productivity. A greenhouse study was carried out to determine the influence of different soil amendments, ... -
Astragalus topalanense (Fabaceae), a new species from Turkey
(2016)Astragalus topalanense Behcet \& Ilcim sp. nov. (section Malacothrix Bunge) is described as a new species from Bingol Province, East Anatolia in Turkey. The new species is similar to Astragalus macrouroides Hub.-Mor., a ... -
Rejuvenation of mature lentisk by micrografting and evaluation of genetic stability
(2016)An in vitro propagation method was established for both male and female genotypes of lentisk using actively growing shoot tips derived from forcefully lignified shoots. The effects of growth regulators on in vitro morphogenesis ... -
Purification and characterization of mitochondrial thioredoxin reductase enzyme from rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) liver and investigation of the in vitro effects of some metal ions on the enzyme
(2016)Thioredoxin reductase (E.C 1.6.4.5.; TrxR) is an enzyme belonging to the flavoprotein family of pyridine nucleotide-disulfide oxidoreductases. In this study, mitochondrial TrxR enzyme was purified from rainbow trout mitochondria. ... -
Relationships between some endogenous signal compounds and the antioxidant system in response to chilling stress in maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings
(2016)This study investigated the correlation between endogenous levels of some signal compounds {[}nitric oxide (NO), salicylic acid (SA), abscisic acid (ABA)] and the antioxidant system in response to chilling stress in maize ... -
THE EFFECT OF AL(3+) AND HG(2+) ON GLUCOSE 6-PHOSPHATE DEHYDROGENASE FROM CAPOETA UMBLA KIDNEY
(2016)Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (EC 1.1.1.49; G6PD) is an important enzyme found in all mammal tissues, and produces NADPH in the metabolism. NADPH provides a reductive potential to maintain a balanced redox state within ... -
A study on the estimating of sediment concentration with turbidity and acoustic backscatter signal for different sediment sizes
(2016)Turbidity and acoustic measurement are alternative indirect methods to determine sediment concentration. Acoustic Doppler velocimetry can be used to estimate suspended sediment concentration (SSC) with the signal-to-noise ... -
RESEARCHING THE EFFECTS OF R\&D INVESTMENTS OF THE MANUFACTURING COMPANIES REGISTERED IN BIST CORPORATE GOVERNANCE INDEX OVER THE COMPANY PERFORMANCE
(2016)Companies have to produce the same product either cheaper or more quality for developing their performance and enhancing competitive capacity in the international markets. R\&D investments are the best possible ways. In ... -
Basic sciences agonize in Turkey!
(2016)In this study, changes from past to present in the departments of physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics, which are considered as the basic sciences in Turkey, are shown. The importance of basic science for the country ... -
Conformal anti-invariant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds
(2016)We introduce conformal anti-invariant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We give examples, investigate the geometry of foliations that arose from the definition of a conformal submersion, ... -
