Estimation of cold carcass weight and body weight from several body measurements in sheep through various data mining algorithms
(2017)The goal of the present study was to compare the predictive performance of three data mining algorithms viz., CHAID, Exhaustive CHAID, and CART implemented in the estimation of cold carcass weight (CCW) and body weight ... -
Interfacial layer thickness dependent electrical characteristics of Au/(Zn-doped PVA)/n-4H-SiC (MPS) structures at room temperature
(2017)Au/(Zn-doped PVA)/n-4H-SiC metal/polymer/semiconductor (MPS) structures with different interfacial layer thickness values (50, 150, 500 nm) were fabricated and their electrical characteristics were compared. Their electrical ... -
On the Frequency and Voltage-Dependent Profiles of the Surface States and Series Resistance of Au/ZnO/n-Si Structures in a Wide Range of Frequency and Voltage
(2017)In order to interpret the electrical characteristics of fabricated Au/ZnO/n-Si structures as a function of frequency and voltage well, their capacitance–voltage (C–V) and conductance–voltage (G/ω–V) measurements were carried ... -
Chrysin protects rat kidney from paracetamol-induced oxidative stress, inflammation, apoptosis, and autophagy: Amulti-biomarker approach
(2017)Paracetamol (PC) is a safe analgesic and antipyretic drug at therapeutic doses, and it is widely used in clinics. However, at high doses, it can induce hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity. Chrysin (CR) is a natural flavonoid ... -
Preparation and characterization of a novel magnetic biosorbent functionalized with biomass of Bacillus Subtilis: Kinetic and isotherm studies of biosorption processes in the removal of Methylene Blue
(2017)A novel magnetic biosorbent (M-BSub) was successfully prepared by the immobilization of Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis) with nano-sized magnetic silica which was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ... -
Purification of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase from rat (Rattus norvegicus) erythrocytes and inhibition effects of some metal ions on enzyme activity
(2017)Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) is the first enzyme on which the pentose phosphate pathway was checked. In this study, purification of a G6PD enzyme was carried out by using rat erythrocytes with a specific activity ... -
Effect of transient treatment with propylthiouracil on some reproduction traits and live weight of Japanese quails
(2017)This study was conducted to investigate the effects of transient treatment with propylthiouracil (PTU) on some reproduction traits and live weight of quails. The trial lasted 8 weeks. To accomplish this goal, 700 1-day-old ... -
Stress-strain behavior of geopolymer under uniaxial compression
(2017)The various types of structural materials that are available in the construction industry nowadays make it necessary to predict their stress-strain behavior. Geopolymer are alternatives for ordinary Portland cement concrete ... -
Effects of different concentrations of bap and NAA on micropropagation of Crambe orientalis L. Var. orientalis L
(2017)Crambe L. is a species of the Brassicaceae family. It is an important industrial oil plant with high erusic acid content. The objective of this study was to develop an efficient micropropagation protocol for Crambe orientalis ... -
Real time fabric defect detection system on Matlab and C++/Opencv platforms [Matlab ve C++/opencv platformlari üzerinde gerçek zamanli kumaş hatasi tespiti]
(2017)In industrial fabric productions, real time systems are needed to detect the fabric defects. This paper presents a real time defect detection approach which compares the time performances of Matlab and C++ programming ... -
A simple logging system for safe Internet use
(2017)Although the Internet offers numerous advantages, it raises many information security risks, especially against young people and children, who are today amongst the largest user groups of mobile and online technologies all ... -
Examination of the effect of the basic parameters of the auto-encoder on coding performance [Oto-kodlayici'nin temel parametrelerinin kodlama başarimi üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi]
(2017)In this study, artificial learning approach which can express high dimensional data in a lower space (autocoding) and known as "autoencoder" in the literature has been investigated in detail without using a predefined ready ... -
Analysis of complex extreme learning machine-based nonlinear equalizer for coherent optical OFDM systems [Evre uyumlu optik OFDM sistemler için karmaşik aşiri öǧrenme makinasi tabanli doǧrusal olmayan denkleştirici analizi]
(2017)One major drawback of coherent optical OFDM (CO-OFDM) is its vulnerability to nonlinear fiber effects due to its high peak-to-average power ratio. Fiber nonlinearities can be mitigated using machine learning algorithms ... -
Wall vegetation characteristics of urban and sub-urban areas
(2017)Unfortunately, we live in a greedy little world and horizontal areas are often too expensive to leave to nature on them. Therefore, creating gardens on vertical surfaces of urban areas has recently been very important to ... -
