Principal curvatures based rotation invariant algorithms for efficient texture classification
(2016)The histograms of oriented gradients (HOG) and co-occurrence HOG (CoHOG) algorithms are simple and intuitive descriptors. However, the HOG and CoHOG algorithms based on gradient computation still have some shortcomings: ... -
New host-parasite association of Acherontacarus rutilans (Acari, Hydrachnidia, Acherontacaridae) on Scarodytes halensis (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae)
(2016)We report on a new larval host of the water mite Acherontacarus rutilans E. Angelier, 1951: the aquatic beetle Scarodytes halensis (Fabricius, 1787) (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae). Among 3715 beetle specimens belonging to 14 ... -
Single crystal ruthenium(II) complex dye based photodiode
(2016)The electrical and photoresponse properties of Ruthenium(II) complex dye based on photodiode were analyzed by current, capacitance and conductance measurements performed in a wide illumination intensity and frequency range. ... -
Scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectrophotometry analysis of reciprocating and continuous rotary nickel-titanium instruments following root canal retreatment
(2016)This study aimed to evaluate superficial defects and the composition of Reciproc R25 and ProTaper Retreatment file systems (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) used for retreatment. A total of 100 maxillary incisor ... -
Effect of different housing systems (cages versus floor) on energy efficiency analysis of meat type Japanese quails
(2016)The aim of the present study was to make an energy efficiency analysis of Japanese quails reared under cage and floor conditions in Bingöl province of Turkey. Japanese quails (1,000) were utilized for trials and measurements. ... -
Temperature-dependent model for hole transport mechanism in a poly(1.8-diaminocarbazole)/Si structure
(2016)To investigate the conduction mechanism in an organic/inorganic heterojunction, poly(1.8-diaminocarbazole) (PDACz) on a p-type silicon substrate in a sandwich configuration were contacted with Al electrodes and ... -
Neutrosophic set based image segmentation approach using cricket algorithm
