(2014)In this study, we have recorded 46 species and one subspecies of aquatic Coleoptera (Helophoridae: Hydrophilidae) belonging to 14 genera (Helophorus, Paracymus, Anacaena, Berosus, Chaetarthria, Enochrus, Helochares, ... -
Onopordum hasankeyfense (Asteraceae), A new species from south-eastern Turkey
(2014)Onopordum hasankeyfense Pi{dotless}nar & Behçet (Asteraceae: Cardueae) from south-eastern Anatolia, Turkey, is described. This species grows on the rocky slopes beneath the Hasankeyf castle in the Hasankeyf District (C8, ... -
Properties of sol-gel synthesized n-ZnO/n-GaN (0001) isotype heterojunction
(2014)The electronic and optical properties of sol-gel synthesized n-ZnO/n-GaN (0001) isotype heterojunction were reported. By incorporating ZnO-GaN with the same wurtzite structure and the similar lattice constant, a heterojunction ... -
Application of different molecular techniques for characterization of catalase-positive cocci isolated from Sucuk
(2014)This study was carried out for the characterization and discrimination of the indigenous Gram positive, catalase-positive cocci (GCC) population in sucuk, a traditional Turkish dry-fermented sausage. Sucuk samples, produced ... -
Investigation of adsorption and corrosion inhibition of mild steel in hydrochloric acid solution by 5-(4-Dimethylaminobenzylidene)rhodanine
(2014)The adsorption and corrosion inhibition of mild steel in 0.5. M HCl solution by 5-(4-Dimethylaminobenzylidene)rhodanine (DABRh) were investigated by electrochemical and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. It was ... -
The effects hydroxyurea derİvatİve schİff bases on fatty acİds and lypophİlİc vİtamİns in liver of rats
(2014)Schiff bases and their metal complexes have antiviral, antimicrobial, antitumoral, radical scavenging and antioxidant activities. In this study, effects of Schiff base ligand and i{dotless}ts metal complexes on the fatty ... -
Measurement of magnetic quadrupole-electric dipole mixing ratios and angular distribution parameters in atomic inner-shell transitions
(2014)In studies of the angular distribution of the magnetic L 3-subshell X-ray transitions it has been generally assumed that observed radiations consist of pure electric dipole transitions and contributions from higher-order ... -
Chiral separation-based ligand exchange by open-tubular capillary electrochromatography
(2014)Chiral ligand-exchange enantioseparation of aliphatic and aromatic amino acids was successfully performed using a new open-tubular zwitterionic column with tentacle-type polymer stationary phase. The polymeric stationary ... -
Determination of outlier in live-weight performance data of Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) by Dfbeta and Dfbetas techniques
(2014)This study aimed to determine the outlier values in live-weight performance data of Japanese quails. Japanese quails were grown under the same conditions, and, after being divided according to gender, the live weight data ... -
ZnO nanostructured thin films: Structural and optical properties controlled by ruthenium content
(2014)Undoped and ruthenium doped ZnO films were prepared on glass substrate using sol-gel spin coating method. The optical and structural properties of the films were analyzed. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements revealed ... -
Photoelectrical characterization of a new generation diode having GaFeO3 interlayer
(2014)In this work, we have systematically investigated the effects of illumination intensity on the electrical characteristics of GaFeO 3/p-Si heterostructure. The current-voltage (I-V) measurements of the heterostructure based ... -
Investigation of corrosion inhibition mechanism and stability of Vitamin B1 on mild steel in 0.5M HCl solution
(2014)The corrosion inhibition mechanism and the stability of Vitamin B1 (VitB1) on mild steel in 0.5. M HCl solution were investigated. Surface of the steel after exposing to test solutions were examined by scanning electron ... -
