Electrical properties of organic-inorganic aemiconductor device based on rhodamine-101
(2009)Rhodamine-101 (Rh101) thin films on n-type Si substrates have been formed by means of evaporation, thus Sn/Rh101/n-Si heterojunctions have been fabricated. The Sn/Rh101/n-Si devices are rectifying. The optical energy gaps ... -
Prophylactic effect of levamisole on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) against Yersinia ruckeri
(2009)Alteration in the relative percentage of survival (RPS) rate of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) exposed to 5, 10 and 25μg ml-1 levamisole for 2 h against Yersinia ruckeri was investigated. The average weight of the 120 ... -
Electrophysiological properties of ventral cochlear nucleus neurons of the dog
(2009)Neurons in the cochlear nucleus (CN) have distinct anatomical and biophysical specializations and extract various facets of auditory information which are transmitted to the higher auditory centres. The aim of the present ... -
Determination of technical efficiency in cotton growing farms in Turkey: A case study of Cukurova region
(2009)This paper analyses technical efficiency of cotton farms in Çukurova region in Turkey. Data was collected from cotton farms through a questionnaire study. Data collection was carried out following 2004-2005 growing seasons. ... -
The stability of NiCoZn electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution activity in alkaline solution during long-term electrolysis
(2009)The long-term stability of NiCoZn coating for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) was investigated in 1 M KOH solution under 100 mA cm-2 current density at room temperature. The effect of electrolysis on the corrosion behavior ... -
Investigation of toxin genes by polymerase chain reaction in staphylococcus aureus strains isolated from bovine mastitis in Turkey
(2009)Staphylococcus aureus causes a number of diseases in humans and animals, and it is the most common etiological agent of contagious bovine mastitis. The agent produces several virulence factors such as coagulase (coa), ... -
Dependence of characteristic diode parameters in Ni/n-GaAs contacts on thermal annealing and sample temperature
(2009)We have prepared the sputtered Ni/n-GaAs Schottky diodes which consist of as-deposited, and diodes annealed at 200 and 400°C for 2 min. The effect of thermal annealing on the temperature-dependent currentvoltage (IV) ... -
Temperature dependence of current-voltage characteristics in highly doped Ag/ p -GaN/In Schottky diodes
(2009)To obtain detailed information about the conduction process of the Ag/ p -GaN Schottky diodes (SDs) fabricated by us, we measured the I-V characteristics over the temperature range of 80-360 K by the steps of 20 K. The ... -
Effects of seeding rate on forage yield and quality of vetch (Vicia sativa L.) - triticale (Triticosecale Wittm.) mixtures under east mediterranean rainfed conditions
(2009)This study was carried to determine the best seed mixture of vetch and triticale for East Mediterranean rainfed conditions of Turkey. The experiments were conducted in two locations, Adana and Kozan, during the years of ... -
Evaluation of selected fig genotypes from Southeast Turkey
(2009)Turkey has great variations and distributions in wild fig forms as well as fig cultivars. This study was carried out in Mardin and Şanliurfa provinces during 2004 - 2005. Nine fig genotypes were evaluated in this selection ... -
Consumer-awareness and information sources on food safety: A case study of Eastern Turkey
(2009)Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the importance of the sources and means of communications that inform consumers about food risks. Another basic aim of this study is to identify certain effects of ... -
The synthesis and characterization of N,N′-[4,4′-{ethane-1,2- di-yl-bis(oxy)bis(4,l-phenylene)}bis(N′-hydroxy)-2-(hydroxyimino) -acetimidamide], (LH4) and its Binuclear complexes
(2009)A novel vic-dioxime ligand (LH4) and its transition metal complexes with Cu(AcO)2·H2O, Ni(AcO) 2·4H2O, Co(AcO)2·4H2O and Cd(AcO)2 metal salts were synthesized. l,2-Bis(p-aminophenoxy) ethane reacted with anti-chloroglyoxime ... -
A theoretical analysis together with experimental data of inhomogeneous Schottky barrier diodes
(2009)We have shown that the current at lower temperatures may exceed the current at higher temperatures using the approximation of the apparent BH in the inhomogeneous SDs, as determined by some authors in the literature. Then, ... -
Determination of organic fish purchase tendency of consumers: A case study for Hatay province, Turkey
(2009)Numerous studies have developed and validated models and instruments for consumer behaviours. However, cahractenstics of decision making still remain unknown. In this study, we attempted to investigate decision making ... -
Determining household preferences for fish consumption with conjoint analysis in Turkey
(2009)It is intended in this study to analyze household fish consumption preferences. Accordingly, the fish quality set and sales conditions that maximize consumer utility were determined. The study was conveyed in Hatay province ... -
Fruit performances of the selected fig types in Turkey
(2009)In this study, fruit performances of some types of fig (Ficus carica L.) were determined in Dara and Yardere villages of Mardin, Turkey. Seven fig types were evaluated in the study for two years. A lot of pomological ... -
Evaluation of durum wheat genotypes using parametric and nonparametric stability statistics
(2009)The development of genotypes, which can be adapted to a wide range of environments, is the one of the most important goal of plant breeders in a crop improvement program. In this study, 6 six stability measures consisting ... -
