Abstract

ÖZET Basın tarihiyle ilgili önemli bir süreli yayın organı olan Maʻârif Gazetesi Osmanlı Devletinin ve Avrupalı devletlerin siyasi, kültürel ekonomik ve sosyal yapılarıyla ilgili önemli bilgiler içermektedir. Kendi dönemine ışık tutan önemli bir kaynak niteliği taşımaktadır. Gazetenin ilk sayısı 26 Muharrem 1309 (1 Eylül 1891) çıkarıldı. son sayısı ise; 10 Eylül 1896 çıkarılmış. Maʻârif Gazetesi haftada bir defa perşembe günleri çıkan edebi ve fenni bir gazetedir. Gazetenin sahibi Kaspar, imtiyaz sahibi ise Ahmet Naci’dir.

ABSTRACT Maʻârif Newspaper, an important periodical on the history of the press, contains important information about the political, cultural, economic and social structures of the Ottoman state and European states. It is an important source that sheds light on its period.
