CdO thin films based on the annealing temperature differences prepared by sol-gel method and their heterojunction devices
(2017)Undoped CdO films were prepared on glass substrate and p-type silicon wafer using sol-gel spin coating method. The structural and optical properties of the films were investigated as a function of the annealing temperature. ... -
Rice responses and tolerance to high temperature
(2018)Climate change may increase storms, flooding and other harsh weather events and, thus, change geographical crop distribution, growing season and may also shorten the growth period. An approximately, 3-4°C increase in global ... -
Ruthenium(II) Complex Based Photodiode for Organic Electronic Applications
(2018)In this study, the electrical and photoresponse properties of a photovoltaic device with Ruthenium(II) complex interfacial thin film were investigated. Heteroleptic Ru(II) complex including bidentate and tridentate ligands ... -
Rice responses and tolerance to metal/metalloid toxicity
(2018)Plants are sessile organisms and face numerous biotic and abiotic stresses throughout their life cycle, of which metal/metalloid toxicity considerably lowers crop production. Rice is an important food crop feeding almost ... -
Radiation efficiency and nitrogen fertilizer impacts on sunflower crop in contrasting environments of Punjab, Pakistan
(2018)Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is the leading non-conventional oilseed crop in Pakistan. Nitrogen fertilizer can affect plant growth and productivity by changing canopy size which has an effect on the radiation use ... -
Measurements of K X-ray fluorescence cross-sections, fluorescence yields, level widths and radiative vacancy transition probabilities for the elements Zr, Mo, Cd, Er at 59.54 keV
(2017)K shell X ray fluorescence cross sections, fluorescence yields, level widths and radiative vacancy transition probabilities were investigated for the elements Zr, Mo, Cd, Er. The measurements were performed using photons ... -
The determination of the effect of some 1,3,4 thiadiazole derivatives on biochemical content (Fatty Acids, Sterols, Lipophilic Vitamins) in rat liver
(2018)Thiadiazole derivatives and its metal compounds have antibacterial, antifungal, antitumoral, antiproliferative and antioxidant properties. In the study, the effects caused by thiadiazole ligand and its metal complexes upon ... -
Vitamin A and E levels in patients with chronic kidney disease
(2018)Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a disease that manifests itself with abnormalities in kidney structure or function. Inflammation and oxidative stress increase in kidney disease in parallel with the advancement of the ... -
Serum endocan level and the severity of spinal cord injury
(2018)OBJECTIVE: To determine whether the endocan level may be related to the severity of spinal cord injury. BACKGROUND: Several biomarkers were evaluated for this purpose, but endocan has never been studied before. It is ... -
Hazardous genomic bioeffects of home Wi-Fi systems
(2018)Objective of this study is to investigate the changes of whole genom gene expression levels in rat brain induced by 2,4 GHz Wireless Fidelity Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Field (WiFi RF-EMF). Total RNA was extracted ... -
Traditional honey production and bee flora of Espiye, Turkey
(2018)This paper presents potential honey bee plants in Espiye (Giresun) which can be considered as a guide for beekeepers and researchers. A total of 149 taxa belonging to 125 genara and 48 families were recorded as pollen and ... -
First record of larvae of the water mite Hydrachna processifera Piersig, 1895 from Turkey (Acari, Hydrachnidia, Hydrachnidae)
(2018)Larvae of water mite Hydrachna processifera Piersig, 1895 (Acari, Hydrachnidiae) were reported on diving beetles Dytiscus marginalis Linnaeus, 1758 (Coleoptera, Dytiscidae) from Turkey. The redescription of the larva was ... -
A novel raw starch hydrolyzing thermostable α-amylase produced by newly isolated Bacillus mojavensis SO-10: Purification, characterization and usage in starch industries
(2018)The aim of this study is the production, purification, and characterisation of thermostable raw starch hydrolyzing α-amylase produced by Bacillus mojavensis SO-10. The maximum production conditions of α-amylase were found ... -
Synthesis of some novel pyridine compounds containing bis-1,2,4-triazole/thiosemicarbazide moiety and investigation of their antioxidant properties, carbonic anhydrase, and acetylcholinesterase enzymes inhibition profiles
(2018)Some novel derivatives of thiosemicarbazide and 1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol were synthesized and evaluated for their biological activities. The title compounds were prepared starting from readily available pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic ... -
The role of inducible nitric oxide synthase in urinary bladders of cattle with enzootic hematuria and its struggle with uroplakin III [Enzootik hematürili sığırların idrar kesesinde indüklenebilir nitrik oksit sentaz’ın rolü ve uroplakin III ile mücadelesi]
(2018)Changes in uroplakin secretion in the urothelium leads a gradual ability lost in neoplastic conditions. Urothelium is one of the target regions where nitric oxide can damage. Therefore, in this study, the presence of iNOS ... -
Phytochemical screening, antiproliferative and antioxidant properties of various extracts from endemic origanum acutidens
(2018)Aim and Objective: Origanum acutidens (Hand.–Mazz.) Ietsw. is an endemic and perennial plant grown mainly in East Anatolia. Recently, natural plant products have attracted interest due to their safety and therapeutic ... -
A comparison of the inhibitory effects of anti-cancer drugs on thioredoxin reductase and glutathione S-transferase in rat liver
(2018)Background: While Thioredoxin Reductase (TrxR) plays an important role in regulation of the intracellular redox balance and various signalling pathways, Glutathione S-Transferase (GSTs) enzymes belong to the detoxification ... -
