<description>Effect of Different Fertilizer Treatments on Botanical Composition, Herbage Yield and Herbage Quality in the Eastern Anatolia Region Pasture of Turkey
Çaçan, Erdal
This study was carried out to reveal the effect of different doses of nitrogen, phosphorus and combinations of these doses on the botanical composition, herbage yield and herbage quality in the Eastern Anatolia Region pasture of Turkey. In the study 0, 5, 10, 15 kg da-1 nitrogen, 0, 4, 8, 12 kg da-1 phosphorus doses and different combinations of these fertilizers (5-4, 5-8, 5-12, 10-4, 10-8, 10-12, 15-4, 15-8, 15-12 kg da-1) were used and the study was conducted over a natural pasture section of Research and Application Center of Bingol University. Experiments were conducted between the years 2014-2017 for 4 years in randomized blocks factorial experimental design with 3 replications and 2 factors. Weight-based botanical composition, green herbage yield, dry herbage yield, crude protein yield, acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and relative feed values (RFV) were investigated. Present findings revealed that fertilizer treatments (nitrogen and phosphorus doses and combinations) increased legume ratio in botanical composition, green herbage yields, dry herbage yields, crude protein yields and relative feed values and reduced ADF and NDF ratios systematically during the first three years of the experiments. The greatest green herbage yield (758.9 kg da-1), dry herbage yield (458.6 kg da-1) and crude protein yield (63.7 kg da-1) were obtained from 10 kg da-1 nitrogen and 8 kg da-1 phosphorus treatments. As compared to the control plot, the plot with 10-8 kg da-1 N-P treatment had about 115.7% greater green herbage yield and 154.4% greater dry herbage yield. Therefore, 10 kg da-1 nitrogen and 8 kg da-1 phosphorus treatments could be recommended for fertilization programs to be applied in pastures of Bingol province and the Eastern Anatolia pastures with the similar ecological conditions.

This study was conducted to determine certain plant traits and inter-trait relationships in the Helianthemum ledifolium (L.) Miller var. lasiocarpum (Willk.) Bornm. which is grown naturally in the protected area at the campus of Dicle University in 2015 and 2016. Two-year average of the research showed that the plant height was 30.04 cm, the number of main stem per plant was 1.02, the main stem diameter was 1.24 mm, the number of branch per plant was 1.06, the capsule number per plant was 4.04, the capsule diameter was 7.21 mm, the seed number per capsule was 158.5, the seed weight per capsule was 0.065 g, the thousand seed weight was 0.421 g, the seed yield per plant was 0.265 g and the germination rate was 0.5%. According to analysis results belonging to dry forage of the plant, the crude protein ratio was determined as 18.79%, ADF ratio as 26.23%, NDF ratio as 49.21%, calcium ratio as 1.14%, magnesium ratio as 0.04%, phosphor ratio as 0.42% and potassium ratio as 3.79%. The correlation analysis results showed that positive and highly significant relation was found between seed yield per plant and plant height, branch number per plant, capsule number per plant, number of seeds per capsule, seed weight per capsule traits. To increase seed yield in Helianthemum genotypes, exclusively that traits should be taken into account. Results of the study indicated that forage of Helianthemum ledifolium (L.) Miller var. lasiocarpum (Willk.) Bornm had sufficient digestibility and nutrient contents for livestock. But, it is recommended that new investigations should be carried out in order to determine the content of harmful substances in the forage of these plants for safely using the forages in the livestock feeding.

Bu çalışma, bazı yem bezelyesi hat ve çeşitlerinin tohum verimi, kes verimi ve kes kalitesini belirlemek&#13;

<description>Classification and Causes of New Species (V. edremitense) which was included in Veronica beccabunga L. subsp. muscosa [(Korsh.) A.Jelen., 1971)] before.
Öztürk, Avni; KILIÇ, ÖMER
In this study, Veronica beccabunga subsp. muscosa is one of the subspecies of Veronica beccabunga, which is understood from more detailed studies that some population (F 1001) samples collected and included to – subsp. muscosa in 2000 year; then as a result of more detailed studies came out that it should not be include in -subsp. muscosa, it should be classified as a separate and new species called Veronica edremitense A.Öztürk &amp; Ö.Kılıç. As a matter of fact, when the population sample (F 1001) was examined more detailed, and when compared with Veronica beccabunga subspecies, there are significant morphological and caryological differences. Because of the reasons described in this article we would like to call our population sample as a newspecies called “V. edremitense A.Öztürk &amp; Ö.Kılıç” which was collected from Edremit county of Van.
