T: We focus in our research on solar thermal technologies in terms of design and performance in water heating first, the process of heat transfer within flat panel collectors, and the calculation of solar radiation secondly, and then we compare between traditional solar water heaters that use water as a heat transfer fluid with poor thermal physical properties and between the development of new methods that contribute to raising the thermal performance and efficiency of the collectors to the use of Nano fluids that contain unique and superior nanoparticles, especially the size of fine particles (<100 nm) with thermal, electrical, optical and mechanical properties by dispersing them in conventional heat transfer fluids. Silver (Ag) nanoparticles were fabricated in the laboratory in an easy, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly manner, for crystal growth, stability and better control of shape and size for various nanotechnology applications Petroselinum crispum, parsley, leaf extract was utilized as a reducing, capping and stabilizing agent, without using hazardous chemical materials, for producing Ag NPs. The biosynthesized Ag NPs were characterized using different characterization techniques, namely UV-Vis, FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), dynamic light scattering (DLS), zeta potential, differential scanning calorimeters (DSC), thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), transmission electron microscope (TEM).To investigate the optical, thermal, structural, morphological and chemical properties of plant extract and biosynthesized silver nanoparticles, field emission electron microscopy (FESEM), and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis are performed. After that, the biosynthesized Ag NPs have been utilized in harvesting sunlight for solar thermal generation. Surface Plasmon resonance (SPR) for the green synthesized Ag NPs with the dark color were adjusted nearly at 450 nm. Once the Ag NPs are excited at the SPR, a large amount of heat is released, which causes a change in the local refractive index surrounding the Ag NPs. The released heat from the Ag NPs under the solar irradiation at the precise wavelength of Plasmon resonance significantly increased the temperature of the aqueous medium. Different percentages of Ag NPs were dispersed in water and then exposed to the sunlight, to monitor the temperature of the suspension. It was found that the temperature of the aqueous medium reaches its highest point when 3 wt. % of Ag NPs has been utilized. This investigation is rare and unique, and it shows that utilizing a small amount of the biosynthesized Ag NPs can increase the temperature of the aqueous medium dramatically.en_US
