New remarkably Silene L. species (Caryophyllaceae) from Bingöl provinces.

Abstract

Perennial S. magenta Yıld. & Kılıç (Caryophyllaceae) are described and illustrated as new species from Bingöl, east Turkey. The distributions of the new and closely related species are mapped. S. magenta is closely related to S. hamzaoglui and S. phyrigia, respectively.
