Abstract

ÖZET: Şeyh Muhammed b. Cafer el-Kettani İslam ümmeti için kendisinde ilim, amel ve nasihati toplayan hicri 13. Ve 14. yy’ın önde gelen alimlerindendir. Bu asırda hadis ilminde tedris ve telif yönünden büyük rol oynayan kimselerin ve pek çok İslam aliminin hocalığını yapmıştı Şeyh halifeliğin kaldırılmasıyla başlayan yabancı güçlerin sömürgesine girmekle pek çok İslam beldesinde ihtilalle sonuçlanan musibetlerin olduğu zor bir dönemde yaşamıştır. Buna rağmen Şeyh kendi ülkesi olan Fas’ta ayrıca Hicaz, ġam ve Mısır’da hadis ilmini yaymak ve ümmete nasihat etme görevinden geri kalmamıştır. Biyografisi verilen Şeyh Kettani pek çok dalda öne çıkan ansiklopedik bir alimdir. Fıkıh, tefsir, edebiyat, tarih ve sosyoloji alanında eserler kaleme almıştır. Ancak eserlerinin çoğunu hadis alanında vermiş olup daha önce benzeri kaleme alınmamış olan “er-risalet’ül müstatrefe fi beyani meşhur-i sünnet’il müşerrefe” isimli risalesini yazmıştır. Muhammed b. Cafer el-Kettani ve hadis ilminde ki yeri isimli bu tezim Şeyhin hayatını sünnet-i seniyyeye olan hizmetindeki gayreti ve yazmış olduğu kitaplardaki yöntemini aydınlatmak içindir.

ABSTRACT: Sheikh Mohammed bin Jaafar al-Kettani, one of the most prominent scholars in the thirteenth and fourteenth Hijri centuries, who brought together knowledge, work, and advice to the Islamic nation. He is one of many scholars of the Islamic world in this time, one of those who had a prominent role in serving Hadith, as a teacher and a writer. The Sheikh lived in a critical stage in the history of Muslims, in which the Islamic nation witnessed a number of calamities, from the fall of the Islamic Caliphate, through the imposition of protectorate, to the occupation of many Islamic countries. The Shaikh, nevertheless, fulfilled his duty of advice, and spread the knowledge and Hadith in his country – Fes –, Hijaz, Sham, and Egypt. The Sheikh has encyclopedic knowledge. He wrote in Fiqh, Fafsir, literature, history, and sociology. However, his interest most important was the service of Sunnah. He made a number of works, some were not preceded – such as Al Risala Al Mustatrafa – in a famous statement of the honorable Sunnah. My research The Hadith Sheikh, Mohammed bin Jaafar al-Kettani and his efforts in the sciences of Hadith highlights the life of the Sheikh, his efforts in the service of Hadith, and his work methodology.
