Abstract
In the present study, new Ru(II) and Pd(II) complexes with sulfonated bidentate Schiff base ligand were synthesized and structurally characterized by NMR, FT-IR, MS spectroscopic methods. Additionally, the solid-state structure of the Schiff base ligand was determined with a single crystal-XRD technique. Then, the antibacterial properties and in vitro cytotoxicity of the synthesized compounds were investigated. Also, the catalytic activities of the Ru(II) and Pd(II) complexes were examined comparatively for the degradation of Eosin Yellow. © 2020 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
